New Beginnings and long-lasting partnership: The Groundbreaking Ceremony & The Thrivent Builds Partnership

On May 31, at the construction site on Delaware street in Albany’s South End. The Jones and Baird families join in a multi-purpose celebration, the groundbreaking of their two new homes and the partnership with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Capital District Habitat for Humanity.

These two new homes are under the construction conjunction with “Morton’s Walk” on Alexander St, a project involving ten new Habitat homes around the corner. The construction of these particular homes is the result of two organizations, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans® and Habitat for Humanity® International. This alliance is to build more than homes but communities. By year-end, sixteen simple, decent and affordable homes will be built in this neighborhood, five of which are already occupied by deserving families.
