What Habitat is Thankful For…

November 28, 2012

Habitat for Humanity Capital District is extremely thankful for our amazing volunteers! We depend on the hard work of our loyal volunteers in order to complete our homes, we can’t do it without them! Recently we’ve been making a lot of progress, but there’s still a lot of work to be done on Delaware Street and the last four houses on Alexander Street. If you would like to volunteer, click here!

Habitat is also thankful for the mountain of insulation (over 2,000 rolls) that was generously donated to us by Owens Corning, thanks guys!! All Habitat houses  are LEED certified, guaranteeing a beautiful home that’s certified with the most distinguished and widely accepted environmental design and green building certification, which is why this insulation is extremely useful and greatly appreciated!

Last, but definitely not least, Habitat is thankful for our many sponsors without whom we could not exist! Many of our volunteers as well as our donations are given to us by our sponsors.  Any donation, no matter how small it may be, helps Habitat and its homeowners! if you would like to help Habitat but don’t have the time to volunteer you can click here to donate! Your donation will go where it is needed most, unless you specify a particular project for it to be used on.

Here’s what your gift could help purchase:

  • $10 = Box of Nails
  • $35 = Roof Shingles
  • $50 = Low Flow Toilet
  • $75 = Window
  • $100 = Kitchen Sink
  • $150 = Front Door
