We recommend taking Homebuyer 101 with another organization before attending a Habitat information session. You can find free, HUD-approved Homebuyer 101 through AHP or TRIP.

Online information sessions will be held online via Microsoft Teams (you do not need an account to access).

Available dates:

  • Saturday, Jan 27 at 11 am

  • Friday, Feb 9, at 12 pm

  • Monday, Feb 19, at 11 am (Presidents Day)

  • Wednesday, Feb 28, at 5:30 pm

We’ll discuss:

  • Program requirements

  • The application process

  • How to prepare

10 New Habitat Houses Celebration

10 New Habitat Houses Celebration

We just finished the construction of ten more local Habitat houses. This means that ten local families will be moving into their new safe, affordable homes in a couple of weeks.

Tour some of the houses, hear from Habitat homeowners, and celebrate the homes that you helped build. Join us on Thursday, June 15th at 10 am on Orange Street in Albany and then 3 pm on River Street in Troy. Attend both or just one!

Light refreshments will be provided.

2023 Homebuyer Fair

Join us at this annual, free event where you can explore everything you need to know about buying a home. Obtain a free credit report (bring your photo ID), talk one-on-one with lenders, realtors, home inspectors, non-profits (like Habitat!), attorneys and more. Meet with a certified housing advisor to find out what you can afford and how to build your credit. There will be on-site pre-qualifications for financing, and seminars for homebuyers. Also, learn about home energy efficiency and repair programs.
