NYS Habitat Advocacy Day

Habitat Capital District is proud act as the host site for Habitat for Humanity of New York State’s annual Habitat Advocacy Day here in Albany.

Staff from Habitat affiliates around our state will advocate at the NYS Capitol for affordable housing policy concerns. This year, policy issues include Affordable Housing Corporation funding, community land trust tax exemptions, scaffold law reform, prevailing wage bills, fire sprinkler bills, lead/asbestos remediation, foreclosure prevention.

Many thanks to our community partners and friends at 255 Orange Street for providing space for the advocacy training!
