Habitat’s Building Impact Partners are businesses, foundations and faith-based organizations. They are groups who have answered the call to fund Habitat’s work of building safe and affordable housing in the Capital District.

Building Impact Partners know that stronger neighborhoods aren’t created by simply building four walls and a roof. Rather, they know that community change happens when the families inside those homes are supported and empowered to build strength, stability and self-reliance for a better future.

Habitat Building Impact Partners commit to one calendar year of giving, either through monthly contributions or a one-time donation. Each gift is used to support the services within the Habitat program: new construction, complete renovation, pre-purchase counseling, financial education, community engagement, advocacy and service referrals.

In the past, Habitat only measured success through the number of houses that were built and sold each year. We now recognize that a more holistic approach is needed in order to accurately reflect our shared role as true agents of community change. We have committed to fundraising for and reporting on all of the services that make up the Habitat program. Building Impact Partners understand that with more funding, Habitat can serve more families. Additionally, they know that planned, unrestricted funding allows Habitat to spend less time raising money and more time improving the services that result in a stronger overall program.

The vision for the Building Impact Partners program is to generate organization-wide excitement and engagement in supporting Habitat’s mission. The most successful Partners have been able to combine their company’s charitable gift with employee fundraising—and even funding from the company marketing budget—to their give most impactful gifts. here are a few actions to kick off your memorable year of partnership with Habitat for Humanity.
