The Habitat for Humanity ReStore accepts donated new and used building materials, furniture, appliances, lighting fixtures and other home goods.

 

How to Donate

Option 1:  Drop off your items at the store

Donations of small or single items can be dropped off at the Habitat Restore Annex at 80 Fuller Road, Tuesday-Friday 10-5:30, and Saturday 10-4:30. Take your items to the donations loading dock where a ReStore team member will screen them and, if accepted, provide you with a donation receipt. Want to donate appliances, furniture or large quantities of reusable building materials that need more than one person to carry? Get in touch with us first so we’re ready to help.

 

Option 2:  Request a free pick-up

We serve Albany, Rensselaer, and Saratoga Counties. For donors outside of this area, please contact the ReStore closest to you (i.e., Schenectady, Hudson, Pittsfield). If for some reason your local ReStore is unable to accommodate your donation, or if you live in an area that is not clearly serviced by another ReStore (i.e., Schoharie, Greene, Washington Counties, etc.), please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to work something out.

Free pickups by the ReStore trucks will be scheduled for large, multi-item donations. We are unable to schedule pick-ups for small or single items. You can, however, be added to our cancellation list, so if we are in your area with a cancellation or room on the truck you can be contacted to see if a pick-up can occur. Click the button below to submit a pick-up request.

After scheduling a pick-up, please be sure that your items are easily accessible when the drivers arrive. Donations should be neatly organized in a central location, and all hallways and walkways should be free of obstructions. Every effort should be made to eliminate the use of stairs, whenever possible. During inclement weather, all exterior walkways must be shoveled and free of ice.

*All items to be picked up are at the discretion of the Restore employees. Any item not meeting the guidelines listed above will not be picked up.*

 

Is your business looking to donate large quantities of inventory?

The ReStore will help save you disposal costs! You can donate unwanted inventory of new or gently-used items at no cost to your business- and your donation will help build homes right here in the Capital District! Give us a call to coordinate the delivery or pick-up of inventory you no longer need.
