ReStore ReOpening

REOPENING POLICIES AND DETAILS

We missed our ReStore family! As we phase into reopening the ReStore at 70 Fuller Road, you are probably not surprised to learn things will be different. We’ll have new policies in place to support the well-being of our team members, customers, and wider community. We’ll assess how things are going every week to determine if we need to scale back or if it’s safe to move forward.

In-store policies for customers

  • Face coverings will be required for everyone on the premises—NO EXCEPTIONS.

  • Hand sanitizer and cleaning products will be available throughout all areas open to the public, and all product and work stations will be cleaned regularly.

  • Please observe CDC guidelines on whether or not you should be in public or at home.

  • Customers are responsible for loading their own purchases—PLEASE BRING HELP. This is crucial to ensuring social distancing and minimizing potential exposure. It is also necessary as we will be operating with reduced staffing and no volunteers in order to prevent over-crowding.

  • Store hours will be 10 am-4 pm Wednesday through Saturday, beginning 6/10, for the time being, with all sales being limited to merchandise on display in the parking lot, or in the event of bad weather, a small portion of the main store at 70 Fuller Road. Lumber/decking is not available for sale at this time.

  • Purchases will be no-contact CREDIT/DEBIT ONLY. No cash accepted under any circumstances. We will not have change on hand for cash transactions.

Online inventory

  • Team members will be contacting people who made online purchases over the next few days to schedule a pickup time during business hours. Please do not show up without an appointment so that we can monitor and control the volume of people on site at any given time.

  • You can continue to purchase inventory online: habitatcd.org/restore-online.

  • From 6/4/20 to 6/13/20, save 25% off all online inventory with code BUILDHOMES at checkout.

Donations

  • Absolutely no drop-off donations will be accepted at this time—NO EXCEPTIONS. Our target date for resuming the acceptance of drop-off donations is Wednesday, 7/1, subject to change.

  • If able, please hold on to your donations and take a minute to dust off and tighten screws, etc, to help us keep things running efficiently.

  • Subscribe to email updates at habitatcd.org/subscribe and follow us on social media to learn when we will begin accepting donations.

Volunteers

  • We will be monitoring the volume of business we are doing and the progress of any special tasks we need to complete over the next week or two before making a decision about if/when/how to resume volunteer activities.

  • We miss you, volunteers.

Employees

  • Hand sanitizer will be available at all time for employees.

  • Disposable or cloth masks will be free and available for employees to wear during shifts (required).

  • Employees will sanitize workstations and inventory regularly with provided cleaning supplies.

  • Employees will have paid sick days available and will follow Department of Health guidelines to determine if they should report to work.
